All that begins well, will end well

To make this statement true and motivate the teachers Smt. K. Jaya Jyothi, the Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam organised an orientation programme for the teachers on 21stMay, 2024. The primary objectives of the program were to empower the teachers and create a better future for the young generations.

The session began with a quote by Kabir, “Guru and God both appeared before me. To whom should I prostrate? I bow before the Guru who introduced God to me.”

She briefed the teachers on various topics such as:

  • From Vedas to Metaverse: Transformation of education into a resilient world.
  • Types of Teachers: Different teaching approaches and styles.
  • Panchadi vs. Bloom’s Taxonomy: Understanding different educational frameworks.
  • Paanchadi Learning Pari: Innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Influence of Teachers: The impact teachers have on their students.
  • The Progressive Teacher Conclave: Strategies for professional development.
  • Encouraging Classroom Dialogue: Promoting student participation.
  • Professionalism and Attitude: Importance of maintaining a positive and professional demeanour.

She also emphasized spirituality as a source of strength and encouraged teachers to inculcate values through their teaching methodologies.

Furthermore, she explained the Saturday routine and school timings, and highlighted the importance of communication and speaking skills among teachers, suggesting collaboration with English teachers. Department in-charges were briefed about the formats of micro-teaching and related activities. The orientation program aimed to inspire and equip teachers with the tools and knowledge needed to foster a positive and effective learning environment.
