Feeling is expressed as emotions, which may both be positive and negative. Emotional development involves learning what emotions are, how and why they happen, recognizing one’s own feelings and those of others, and developing effective ways of managing them. Children learn about emotions and how to express them appropriately by watching others – especially parents, elders and teachers. Those children who do not develop emotional maturity are at risk of forming unhealthy attachments, experiencing peer group rejection and suffering from mental illness.
Value Education
Amrita has the mission to provide value-based education and mould the character of the younger generation through a system of wholesome learning, so that their earnest endeavor to achieve progress and prosperity in life is matched by an ardent desire to extend selfless service to society, one complementing the other. Manushya Yagna
“Manushya yagna” which signifies service to humanity. Extending love to all people irrespective of colour, creed, community, caste and religion is the greatest service one can do to society. It is in serving the needy, the poor and the downtrodden that man finds fulfilment of his existence. In fact, service to humanity ennobles man and raises him to Godhead!
Service to man is service to God as the human body is the living temple of God!
At Amrita, we encourage your child to embrace the joy of giving back and doing good for others. Even though teaching these concepts to little ones can seem challenging, our emotional development sessions through Value Education is a great time to introduce them the importance of giving without expectation.
